Goat pizza in Saratoga. I go all the way back to the Broadway days. Nothing has ever come close to touching it in Saratoga or the surrounding areas for that matter.
The pizza is very good. Service was slow but ok. Crust was quite good as well. Only critique is the sauce and cheese are far from the crust edge. I prefer sauceand cheese to the edge.
I've been to Pope's so many times now and they're my go-to place for pizza. Their pizza is made well, not too salty, great dough and enough toppings.
One of the best NY style pizzas I've found outside the metro NY area. 5 stars for pizza. When traveling to Saratoga, we talk about Pope's pizza and plan which meals we'll be getting from there. I agree with other reviewers that the hours are inconsistent and it is often difficult to place an order on the phone. The pizza is just so good that when I couldn't get through on the phone, I drove there and placed my order. I've found the staff to be pleasant, but there's not enough of them.
Popes has excellent NY style pizza. Reasonably priced and sized. Note they only take cash and I'm fairly sure they don't deliver. Have never had anything else that they offer, but the place has great Pizza.
